I found that I had a hard time getting around to actually listening to any of this past month's albums, and few got very far under my skin. The resulting mix is a little bit odd and kind of gritty, but it's growing on me. In some ways, it's a fun creative challenge to put something together when you're less immediately passionate about the material.
