Today's Subjects: ----------------- Another belated HR/Security Project report [Paul Blair Subject: Another belated HR/Security Project report Wednesday night I went up to Pawling to see Security Project at Daryl's House, a venue that's where the Towne Crier used to be. When I arrived, the staff took me right to my seat, which fortuitously happened to be right next to Woj. I was also sitting right at the edge of the stage, so close that at one point Michael Cozzi (guitar) made like he was going to bend down and take one of my chicken wings. It was amazing having my nose about two feet from the guitar while he was doing the bends and effects on "Lay Your Hands On Me." Happy was clearly having a great time. Michael told me after the show that she only had four weeks to prepare before they went on tour. He sounded extremely happy she's with the band. The fellow sitting across from Woj and me hadn't heard Happy before, and though afterwards he still seemed to favor a more standard interpretation of the early Peter Gabriel songs, he thought she did marvelously well and thought "Collective Heart" was the high point of the show. He was going to go seek out her music. We saw Happy after the show and she seemed, well, yes, happy. "I could do this every night," she said. There's apparently some possibility that the band is going to Japan, and that there may be more shows in February. Heres the set list -- it's possible I may have missed one. They didn't do "Ashes to Ashes." Rhythm of the Heat Intruder Family Snapshot No Self Control Humdrum The Family and the Fishing Net I Have the Touch Wallflower Games Without Frontiers Mother Stands for Comfort Collective Heart I Don't Remember Red Rain San Jacinto Lead a Normal Life Fly on a Windshield/Broadway Melody of 1974 The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Encores: Back in New York City (Jerry vocals; no Happy) Lay Your Hands On Me ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Nov 2016 16:50:46 -0400 From: Doug Subject: Re: Another belated HR/Security Project report Someone needs to sit down long enough to interview her. Does she know she still has a big fanbase? That we'd love a new album from her? That Crowdfunding is a thing? Thanks for the update. - --Doug On Sat, Nov 5, 2016 at 4:36 PM, Paul Blair wrote: > Wednesday night I went up to Pawling to see Security Project at Daryl's > House, a venue that's where the Towne Crier used to be.
