Just saw a listing that the Canadian artist Ora Cogan is coming to a local club in May. She's very Ecto but very folky (mostly acoustic guitar accompaniment). Someone described her as "Post Americana." She is getting ready to release her fifth album in a week (_Shadowland_). Probably Ecto people have been talking about her for years, and I wasn't paying attention. Now I have to check out the opening act, "Ika Uni Ai." I looked up Ora only because of her interesting name. - --Valerie ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #1663 ****************************
