Marie Denise Pelletier's "Le temps d'exister" just came by on random shuffle, and the flute in there suddenly emphasized to me how much I love that sound, and how little I have of it in my current collection. Of course, it's extremely (?) rare to see a heavy flute focus in most ectoish music, since most singer-songwriters start out by themselves, and vocals plus flute at the same time... so I guess you'd need a duo to start with, and even then the guitar, piano, cello, harp and even violin seem to be more common choices. But if there's one thing I know, it's how much more music is still out there that I have no idea of. So... can anyone recommend me some firmly ectophilic music with a heavy flute (any type) emphasis? (In the case that I've been missing out so bad that you can easily name dozens upon dozens, some of my favorite artists include Ane Brun, Basque, Dar Williams, EivC8r, Grey Eye Glances, Kristin Hoffmann, Loreena McKennitt and Vienna Teng, so recommendations in that broad similar direction would be most appreciated.) Thanks in advance! ~ Sander ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #1461 ****************************
