This morning I was listening to Arson Gardenbs bBelle Stompb and wondered if the principals had ever popped up again. After all, itbs been nearly 20 years! A quick spot of web searching led me to 2010bs eponymous album bHonneycombsb b a folky trio featuring April Combs and her brother James, both of Arson Garden! Theybre joined by Laurie Burnham. All three sing together with April and James splitting or sharing lead vox on all of the songs. Yball make me feel let down for missing this for four years. At least a teeny bit. But, hey, new-to-me music! Itbs a pretty tasty album. Like I said, folky, maybe a hint country. None of that Arson Garden aggression, that pulsing, writhing rock. But itbs definitely not an acoustic album, and Aprilbs vocals are hard to mistake.
