Today's Subjects: ----------------- Paula Cole [Tim Jones-Yelvington ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 28 Oct 2014 17:16:18 -0500 From: Tim Jones-Yelvington Subject: Paula Cole Saw Paula Cole perform in Chicago Sunday night. She's still in top vocal form... sometimes I forget how immense her talent is because of the weird and completely unfair way that pop music history kind of wrote her off as a Lilith-era also ran. Like I find myself defending my love for her as nostalgia for my high school years, which is such bullshit, because everyone should stand in awe of her always and it should require no explanation. Anyway, she said that when she tore her ACL last year, it was a very creatively fertile time for her, and resulted in at least 8 new songs that have already been recorded (she had studio time booked for a jazz album that will now not be happening because she repurposed the space to record the new originals), with a release date sometimes in spring 2015. So watch for that. ~Tim ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #1253 ****************************
