Today's Subjects: ----------------- iamthemorning - Belighted [Rolf Peukert ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 11 Oct 2014 21:24:48 +0200 From: Rolf Peukert Subject: iamthemorning - Belighted Not sure if it was mentioned here already, iamthemorning from St. Petersburg have finally released their second album, 'Belighted' (on the label Kscope), and IMHO it was worth the wait. In style it's comparable to their first album, neo classical or 'chamber prog', based on Gleb's piano playing and Marjana's ethereal, often layered vocals, but they expanded their sound and show more variety here. Guest musicians include Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) on drums and the Nevsky string quartet. My favourites so far are the playful '5/4', the epic 'Crowded Corridors' and the wonderful closing track 'Reprise Of Light/No Light'. album stream: http://prog.teamrock.com/news/2014-09-11/iamthemorning-stream-belighted-album and they also have a new video: http://vimeo.com/106133889 Rolf ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #1234 ****************************
