As predicted, loving the new Lydia Ainsworth. Love the new Lia Ices, though perhaps a teensy bit less than her previous release. Also loving the Kyrie Kristmanson (jazzy pop for the win), and like half of the Perfume Genius (male vocals alert) disc a LOT. Jim has been obsessing on "Queen." The new Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker disc arrived from the U.K., too. Perhaps more sweet than I'm in the mood for right now, but her voice is powerful magic. More new discs in our house this week than has happened for years. The new Gaba Kulka is here, too. Lydia Ainsworth is the most irresistible of them all. - --Neile Begin forwarded message: > From: CD Baby > Date: October 4, 2014 8:52:19 PM PDT > To: > Subject: New Release from Sarah Fimm Available Now at CD Baby > > Hey Neile, > > Sarah Fimm has put out a new release through CD Baby! > > We here at CD Baby have got pretty good memories. His Every Noise ( http://everynoise.com/engenremap.html) is fun - a site with 1264 genres to click around and play with. Including 'ectofolk.' Yep, he's still being obsessive and awesome. Here's a cute taster from The Guardian - http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/sep/04/-sp-from-charred-death-to-deep-filthstep-the-1264-genres-that-make-modern-music . Haven't really been able to get into the Lia Ices that much. It's nice, but I don't get hooked. Maybe because her vocals seem buried really deep in the mix? Reminds me of some of Goldfrapp's folkier work like Seventh Tree, but fronted by a less distinct/distinguished presence. I've basically been listening to that Emma Ruth Rundle album at least once a day since you recommended it, it makes me feel like a gutted young person again in the best way possible. ~Tim On Sun, Oct 5, 2014 at 2:09 PM, Neile Graham wrote: > FYI. > > As predicted, loving the new Lydia Ainsworth.
