Today's Subjects: ----------------- 9-11 ["Varker, Patrick" ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 11 Sep 2014 20:15:11 +0000 From: "Varker, Patrick" Subject: 9-11 It's been thirteen years ago today, THAT DAY, a day that changed all of us in a way we hoped would never happen. It's still so hard for me to believe that the events of Sept. 11th, 2001 really took place. I often want to believe that it was a horrible nightmare and I'll awake and realize it was only a dream. Unfortunately, it was and is REALITY and a day that none of us will ever be able to forget. On this, the thirteenth year anniversary since that fateful day, we want to take a moment and remember all the things that have effected us by the tradgedies of that day and of the events that have taken place since. First let's remember the rescue workers. The brave Firefighters, the Police Officers, and countless other emergency workers and volunteers, many of whom gave their lives so others would be safe. We have truly come to a new realization and appreciation of what these indiviuals do for us each and every single day! We remember all the military personnel, many of whom continue to fight even now so that events like those of 9-11 will not ever happen again. We need to remember our Political Leaders and those that work with them as they pass and enforce the laws to protect all our nations and countries. We CAN hope and pray for times of peace. We cannot forget those that were responsible for the attacks of 9-11 and those that continue to plan similar events even now. May all these people all over the world find love instead of hatred in their hearts and an understanding that we are all very different people with very different beliefs. Let us not forget those that continue to battle with the memories that are forever seared by the unbelievable images that were etched in their minds that morning thirteen years ago and the events that have taken place since. Very importantly we remember the families and friends of those that lost their lives in the attacks of and rescue efforts of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, aboard Flight 93 that went down in Pa., and those that gave their lives in other parts of the world fighting the war against terrorism. May each of those loved ones find some kind of comfort and peace, and the strength to continue on with their lives. Finally, let's remember every living being upon this planet and carry hope that someday we'll all know freedom and live together, in peace, UNITED as ONE!!! Now, I hope that (sometime today) you take a moment of silence and in whatever way you decide to...... REMEMBER ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #1210 ****************************
