JoAnn ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 May 2014 17:02:59 -0500 From: Kerry White Subject: More free CDs to good home JoAnn reminded me: long ago I took up [ sorry, brain rot ]'s offer of getting Cowboy Junkies' Roots On The Rails: 3 CDs worth via large files and emailed covers. At the time I worked in a place with wonderfully fast internet access. 3 CDs of live CJ from a long railroad ride with them and a number of lucky fans. I was more looking for new stuff than satisfying a CJ itch. I listened to them less than a dozen times some years ago. ALSO: I have 3 cassettes of Jewelstock. Days of Jewel live in Bearsville in 1996. AND: 3 Ecto cassettes from the old Ecto Trading Post. 2 from 1994 Inner Change San Francisco and 1 1995 "Rare Angels". Since I am more into the Peter Gabriel, Eurythmics and other louder groups, I can't really think of what I might like to trade for, so, you pay postage and packaging and they are yours. I have the set-up to record the cassettes onto CDrs, if this is needed. My handwriting looks like Sanskrit, so I would just send the original typed covers. Or, even both cassettes and CDrs if you want to pay the postage. I have not checked, but, all these things might be available on the net these days. If so, maybe a completist or historical junkie would want them. [later]: Gee, if the Jewel stuff from the trading post was on CD I could compete against the guy on ebay selling at $99 for just part of the cassettes. And all of the Jewelstock is on a 111 minute U2b video. Oh, well. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 May 2014 04:09:29 -0800 From: Adam Kimmel Subject: TuneYards in today's Guardian For the fans among you... http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/may/02/tune-yards-nikki-nack-merrill-garbus Enjoy, Adam K ____________________________________________________________ Protect your computer files with professional cloud backup. I thought her first one was pleasant but not as compelling as peers like Janelle Monae and Solange. Saw FKA Twigs on your list -- have you listened to Kelela's mixtape from last year? So good. I'm into the spacey r & b trend. ~Tim On Wed, Apr 30, 2014 at 6:09 AM, Andrew wrote: > My list as of today: > 1. Diane Birch > 2. V V Brown > 3. Bow to Each Other > 4. Sky Ferreira > 5. Owl Eyes > 6.
