I think her debut album is remarkably good, and she's only 17, so she could have a long and illustrious career ahead of her! - --Sue ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Feb 2014 17:19:35 -0600 From: Tim Jones-Yelvington Subject: Re: pop Yeah, I think for me my preference is less abt musicianship and subtlety than it is production choices and types of electronic sound -- I just cant handle how aggressive and repetitive those EDM beats and drops are anymore, and the robo vocals have just gotten a little too clean-sounding for me, and also, for some reason I just really dont like the vocal timbre of dudes who sound like Bruno Mars. But I never get tired of older and more primitive synth sounds.... I love the production on Macklemore's thrift shop for this reason... and I liked the Daft Punk song ("Get Lucky") and the Justin Timberlake songs that got all that radio play last year. And I like Rihanna, altho my favorite Rihanna is still the one from like four years ago, Rated R. On Fri, Feb 28, 2014 at 5:07 PM, Karen Hester wrote: > Thanks for the pop recommendations, all.
