I forgot... fill in the blank. I also tried to limit this to artists who are currently active (except for Happy, of course, but one can always hope...) But I just have to let go, so here it is. 0. If you don't want to nominate Happy you can leave her out, but otherwise, please count her as O, like this, which is my list (at least the list I came up with today): > > 0. Happy Rhodes > 1. Sorry only ten (or eleven) but otherwise the list would be pages and pages long as we will include everyone who gets at least two votes--and there will be other places to list other favourites. > > Let the nominations begin! But thanks for the undertaking. Should be interesting to see the results. I always think of an Ecto "sound" that is somewhere in the nexus of Kate Bush/Peter Gabriel/Happy Rhodes. But my Ecto also includes people of deep imaginative vision lyrically, which brings me to Laura Viers and Gillian Welch, who might be on the folkier side of things...at least Gillian is. This list would be entirely different next week except for the first four, or five, who are in pantheon territory. - --Valerie 1. Happy Rhodes 2. Jane Siberry 3. Veda Hille 4. Joni Mitchell 5.
