Known mostly for the comedy he did Stan Freberg also hated Rock and Roll. The Old Payola Roll Blues is a send up of a schlocky record producer who pulls a kid from the street and makes him into a rock and roll star in minutes. Of interest to many ectos is the second side (part 2) where after a jazz radio dj kicks the producer out of his studio they morf into a swinging 50's jazz musical number with snippets of parodies of bad rock and roll being harshly destroyed inserted into the song. I had been wanting to put something on Youtube for a while now and found only one copy of this song [there] and it was missing something due to a bad download.
