Helps that she's got some muscle to her voice and production (unlike Ellie Goulding, where the production was the whole point) Anna Calvi -- Very much in the Society of Imaginary Friends vein. The song on the list, "Jezebel," is an Edith Piaf cover, pretty well done. Esben and the Witch -- Fuzzy atmospheric spooky rock. Not my thing, could be yours.
