Here is what she wrote back to me and has given her OK for me to post to Ecto. - -----Original Message----- From: Vickie [mailto:xenussister@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, September 09, 2010 12:02 AM To: Bill Mazur Subject: Re: Warpaint on Amazon (Was: New feature on The Ectophiles' Guide) Thanks for passing that along Bill. I wrote Happy to ask her about Find Me being out of print, and the others going for outrageous prices. I'll let you know what she says. If anyone wants the music on any of the albums they can't find, I can provide high-quality mp3s, and all Happy wants in return is a donation to an animal shelter. You can pass that, and my e-mail address, along to ecto. Make sure "Happy Rhodes" is in the Subject line so it passes through my spam filter. UPDATE FROM TONIGHT: I heard from Happy. She's repressing Find Me and as soon as she gets them from the plant she'll re-stock CD Baby. She had the artwork for Warpaint and Rhodes I reprinted but doesn't have the funds to press more CDs at the moment. Damn, I wish I were rich. Sigh. A friend of mine did a short run of 100 CDs to sell on a recent West Coast tour, and it cost, like, $200. If she has the artwork and just needs the discs, you could probably get plain CDs on a spindle for even less than that. At the very least Warpaint could at least be made available on iTunes and other digital download services (it isn't there -- I just checked). If I thought Happy was actually interested in promoting her music, I'd offer to help, but I've been on this list long enough to suspect she's the Garbo of song and just wants to be alone :) - --Sue ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V15 #220 ***************************
