There are at least a half dozen at the $35 level. I almost accidentally purchased one of the high-priced Warpaints last week. I put it in my Amazon shopping basket for some reason. I went to Amazon a couple of days later to buy another item, clicked on the "One-click" button, and caught the transaction just before it went through. Meredith and I did a special fundraiser at WPKN in Bridgeport, Connecticut, focused on alternative women's music, and I wanted to feature Warpaint as one of the premiums. I was surprised that I couldn't find more than a couple of copies of the CD at normal CD prices, and there were a couple listed at that time on Amazon at more than $100. I think the CD was still listed on CDBaby or Auntie Social music, but then it turned out that there were not any more copies available from those sources This was all being done at the last minute, of course, so we didn't have time to go through any other channels, and I don't know Happy other than having met her a couple of times at events. I went back to Amazon during the summer to get a copy of the CD as a present, which I was able to purchase at a fairly good price. I've been amazed though to see that the Warpaint is going for such high prices from some of the vendors. Maybe other of the Happy catalogue are as well; I've only priced Warpaint. By the way, here's the archived edition of the show that I did with Meredith. It has far more Patty Larkin than I would normally play, but her new "25" CD had just come out, and the station was pushing it as one of the spring fundraising premiums. http://archives.wpkn.org/bookmarks/listen/6920 It was quite a day. We drove down from New Haven to Bridgeport in a Nor'easter, and power was knocked out to a large part of our listening audience during the time we were on the air--not great conditions for fundraising! I just did a phone interview with Vienna Teng a couple of weeks ago. I'll get the archive edited and will post it in short order. - --Valerie - -----Original Message----- >From: Bill Mazur >Sent: Sep 8, 2010 5:54 PM >To: 'Ecto' >Cc: 'Tim Jones-Yelvington' , valrichardson@igc.org >Subject: RE: Warpaint on Amazon (Was: New feature on The Ectophiles' Guide) > >After this thread started I got curious and looked up Warpaint on eBay.
