["Bill Mazur" ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 7 Aug 2010 01:19:03 -0700 From: "Bill Mazur" Subject: Ecto Oracle help needed - thanks in advance! I need some help from the Ecto Oracle to identify the song and artist. Searches on Google and lyric sites aren't finding this one for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. A snippet of this song was used in the closing scenes from tonight's (8/6/10) episode of the Syfy show Haven (fifth episode entitled "Ball and Chain" - Plot: Audrey and Nathan investigate a set of deaths involving accelerated aging). Song description: Ethereal alternative female voice (layered harmonies in parts) - it has a current modern arrangement that predominantly features the female vocalist, acoustic guitar and cello/strings. Billi ran the DVR through the scene several times so that I could get the lyrics - I think that these are all correct. I couldn't find anything in the credits - but they might have been cut off. The moon and the sun We all come undone The night steals the ground We all fall down Uh uha aah aah uh Uh uha aah aah uh aah aah uh (or something like that) A blue whisper rain Dark shadows again The crush of a prayer Hangs in the air Uh uha aah aah uh Uh uha aah aah uh aah aah uh ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Aug 2010 20:42:53 +1200 From: Urs Stafford Subject: Re: Ecto Oracle help needed - thanks in advance! I've just read Louise Wener from Sleeper's book about her Britpop years..It's called "Different for Girls" and she makes some interesting points about how male and female frontpeople in bands are hardly treated the same. No new insights, but interseting anyway. Makes me sad she's not making music anymore. Her books have been good reads so I guess she's made a good career in writing instead. I looked hard at the ending credits last night and saw that band and song title listed. In doing Google searches using "We All Fall Down" and "Sweet Talk Radio" I couldn't find THAT song or what CD it is from. In listening to the samples of Sweet Talk Radio's only CD listed on iTunes it is hard to believe that they did this song. I don't much care for the songs I heard on the CD - but this particular song struck me for some reason. I just did find some confirmation elsewhere that the song is by Sweet Talk Radio and is currently unreleased. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-ecto@smoe.org [mailto:owner-ecto@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Urs Stafford Sent: Saturday, August 07, 2010 1:43 AM To: ecto@smoe.org Subject: Re: Ecto Oracle help needed - thanks in advance!
