I have been downloading some Mashups - I need stuff to be frree and Mashups leave me feeling less guilty. The best of these are put on CDr discs for louder listening. I'll look into the Acronis software. So far, I use the computer to go places and do stuff and not too much for saving stuff, but, I do have a number of programs that I should protect. I have been downloading a number of free burning softwares and trying them on for size for the times that the Windows DVD Maker and Power2go that came bundled come up short. I also have HP MediaSmart with a moviemaker that refuses to burn a dvd without one of its sound themes in the background!!! For anyone still reading 8-) I now have my own URL. Plenty of photos of paintings I have done and I am about to put up the photos I have of Happy and Me and Happy. Photos of the paintings I did of Happy and gave her are there. www.myspace.com/kerry_r_white I am on dial-up and do my uploading at the library, so, it will be a day or so. I"ve missed her coming to DC the last 2 times but did get to see her with Alanis a number of years ago. I think the caveat of having only live performers that had not turned it down was just our listmembers aside to keep our fantasy somewhat real :-) I wish Brandi Carlile was hitting the DC stage with Lilith, but at least she will be at Rams Head in Oct! - --- On Sat, 7/31/10, w1ggy2 wrote: From: w1ggy2 w1ggy2@aol.com Tori on Lilith Fair and why she turned it down: Http://www.spinner.com/2009/12/11/tori-amos-lilith-fair-2010/ And back in the 90's she had the same feelings: http://www.hereinmyhead.com/musicians/mclach.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 31 Jul 2010 12:40:12 -0400 From: breinheimer@webtv.net (bill) Subject: KaTe firstly, a happy (no pun intended) belated KaTemas to all. secondly, I have a question. I have an old vhs storebought (I think) Kate tape that I only recently opened and watched. It's called simply "the collection" or maybe "kate bush the collection" editing was terrible and the picture quality was an issue. early on the tape seemed to be slipping though it had never been played before and my dvd/vcr combo hasn't had problems with other tapes. it consisted primarily of tv clips (music videos, live performances and interviews- even one on her vegetarianism). sometimes I half wondered if these were recorded off of a tv. it was put out by mirage video in 1990. the tape itself does not have a label and is clearly stamped scotch t90. I did some googling and looked around amazon and could not find any mention of this tape. anyone know anything about it? is it a bootleg? I'm just really puzzled by it all. np- Robyn Hitchcock- live at the Iron Horse. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 31 Jul 2010 13:50:51 -0500 From: kerrywhite@webtv.net (kerry white) Subject: Re: KaTe Hi,, Bill what you have is an old copy of The Lovehounds Collection. Made to be freely distributed. It and a tape called KaTetopia were made by a few enterprising members of the Alt.Music.Gaffa NewsGroup.
