And I'm usually OK with comparisons. But I can't do it. Not with her. She's unique. So I don't agree with their statement. But I understand that they need to describe what to expect without being able to play a snippit for people, and they have to use names that most people have heard of. At least they didn't lump everyone together because they're all women, like the press/media used to do. And yeah, I'm not all that shocked that they spelled Sarah's name wrong. So many do. *le sigh* But I'm very happy for Rachael that she got mention in that big publication! Good for her!! I'm going to really try and get my review done for the release date. ~~A On Mon, May 10, 2010 at 1:34 PM, Tim Jones-Yelvington wrote: > "Ms. Sage is assertive when delivering her folk-rock and pop songs, and > her peer group, at least on disc, is more Shawn Colvin and Sarah > McLaughlin than Tori Amos and Regina Spektor." > > ...This is an interesting one for discussion -- do people agree with it? > > Slash can you believe the WSJ misspelled Sarah McLachlan's name? > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: meredith > To: ecto > Sent: Mon, May 10, 2010 1:20:33 PM > Subject: Rachael Sage in the Wall Street Journal today :) > > Hi, > > There's a feature article on Rachael Sage in the Wall Street Journal (!) > today: > > http://bit.ly/9elJVd > > Her new album "DELANCEY STREET" is on iTunes now, and hits stores a week > from tomorrow, May 18. It's also my favorite. Though I've only listened online. I ordered the CD at Amazon so I haven't gotten it yet, but there was a while you could listen to the whole thing on Facebook and I heard it a couple times through. That song was definitely the stand out for me. I'm very optimistic about this one. But then again, I usually am. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Jun 2010 11:03:23 -0500 From: Collected Sounds Subject: Re: new weepies and sarah mclachlan It played on mine (laptop) just fine and I was also able to rip it to my computer to put on my MP3 player.
