Well, god bless them all. Gibson had a brilliant career, from Laugh In to some of Altman's best work to the Blues Brothers and beyond. It doesn't get more varied or interesting than that. Although Peter Paul and Mary arguably represented the "safe" side of folk, they spread the word and made some beautiful music.
