Apologies for the formatting chaos last time! > Hey all I am leaving for L.A. tomorrow and will be there a week. Do go see The Audreys. Really. Trust me, you won't regret it! :) And again, if anyone does go to one of these shows, please do tell Taasha and the band that I said hi. My long-standing tradition of Internet Enabled International Unexpected Greeting Relay depends on it :-D They almost always come out for a chat after a show. BTW, there's a batch of Australian shows towards the end of August, local people. (And no, I don't work for the band! :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 2009 05:58:29 -0700 (PDT) From: Lisa Subject: re: Song ID It was Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek." I found it later with some creative googling. I was becoming obsessed with finding it and knew I would not be able to wait for the Ecto Digest to arrive. :) Thanks again...Lisa ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 2009 10:06:41 -0400 From: Karen Hester Subject: Congratulations to Adam Kimmel on his engagement (ha!) to Leelee Sobieski. I just wanna say, I absolutely LOVE the ectoguide website and I visit it frequently... it's such a unique music website, I don't think there's any other quite like it... especially one that's mostly dedicated to female singers. Anyway I'd love to reccomend an artist that I think would be perfect for the Ectoguide. Her name is Siobhan Donaghy, she's a british singer, and unfortunately she often gets passed over because she was originally part of an extremely popular british pop group called the Sugababes (although she left after their first album, before they became really big). Her music though, is very "ecto"... excellent experimental pop. She has two albums out, I only have the 2nd one called "Ghosts" (unfortunately I don't think she's released outside of western europe) and it's fantastic. I suppose the closest comparison would be Kate Bush, although her music is a little more accessible but still very unique and quite different from anything new released these days. Anyway I'm just a fan and since this website has provided me with a lot of great musical reccomendations, I felt I should make one of my own!!!
