She opened for Rachael Sage once a couple years ago, and she is indeed wonderful. Alas I won't be around on June 12th to see her in NYC. I would place her in the "if you like Vonda Shepard" category, for sure. (I wonder if she still has her husband playing bass in her band -- some of you might have heard of him, his name is Harry Shearer and when he talks he sounds like a lot of Simpsons characters. ;) - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Jun 2009 19:40:03 -0700 From: birdie Subject: Kate Havnevik at Canal Room June 10th 8pm I'll post more deets later - it is part of an evening that Arjan Writes - the blogger is putting on.
