Yes that's the one..much as I resent the Saw movies and ms.Hilton..it also stars Anthony Head(giles from buffy) and ms.Brightman.. I'm willing to give it an honest chance..Head will be singing..that's enough to sway me completely..It does look quite gory though. So, to recap..I'm going to rent it when it comes out here.. Very peaceful and serene. (um, but maybe that's stating the obvious with Enya???) It will be getting a lot of playtime during the season.. Highly recommended. I bought Loreena's new one, but haven't given it a good listen yet.. hopefully I can put this Enya one aside for long enough to give Loreena a chance. :-) Paul - -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "This is the time. So, about half way through the song, I wanted to post a comment. But I didn't want to interrupt the video, so I clicked the sign-in link to open in another tab so I would remember to do it later. The video was already a little weird to me. Was watching and trying to figure out what I think. The music was electrifying. Then the song got a little weird. Like, there's this bit where she sings backup for herself and it's mirrored in the video with two images of her face one a little pale on top facing the other, very cool. So then the song starts becoming really layered and I'm like "Wow, this is so different from the version on the album". And it was getting really interesting! And very very cool! And then I realized the song was also playing in the other tab that had opened up. Heh. Well it was a very cool remix. Try it. it's neat. - --jessica Elin BekkebrC%ten SjC8lie wrote: > Paul Blair wrote: >> I randomly wondered what Noe Venable was up to and went to her site to >> find that she has a new video up on YouTube: >> >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmOOmVFXEt8 >> >> I originally was going to say it's like Merchant Ivory meets *Being >> John Malkovich,* but it's weirder than that. >> > > Yeah, kind of weid. The non-profit concert production company that I run is part of the Amazon Associates program. If you click through our site on your way to buying something from Amazon, we get a percentage of the purchase (somewhere between 3% and 10%, depending on what it is and who is actually selling it). I'm sure there are some other ectofolks out there who might be doing this too. Or maybe the ectoguide or a Happy page should become an affiliate to pick up enough money for hosting. But if you aren't buying local and you don't know anyone else in the affiliate program, feel free to click through us. It doesn't add anything to the cost of your purchase. It just sends a bit of money to the affiliate. www.ampconcerts.org We've even got some ecto-friendly events coming up, like the double bill of My Brightest Diamond and Clare & The Reasons, sharing a string quartet. And perhaps the Guerrilla Girls. neal On Nov 9, 2008, at 5:29 PM, jessica spurling wrote: > I like to buy CDs via amazon. (well, i may rip and sell some that i haven't listened to in a decade or so...!) even if i get rid of some, and not counting the box sets or cool packaging, i'm going to have around 3000 to store. that's going to add up, so i'd like to choose wisely. Case Logic used to be my first choice in such things. but, i've been reading on Amazon and the Case Logic site itself, and their latest models are getting mixed reviews. apparently, they've moved from three-ring binders to a cheesy plastic systems that requires all pages to be removed when rearranging or inserting pages. and the cases themselves are apparently less sturdy than in the past. another plan would be to buy sleeves -- Case Logic still sells three ring binder sleeves -- and look for binders elsewhere. anyone have recommendations, opinions, good or bad experiences? thanks! - -g n.p. I've returned to the town of my birth, that is, Pittsburgh, PA. I expect to die here, hopefully not too soon. (No, I'm not diagnosed with anything terrible. I have been told that there is a burial plot for me here, courtesy my parents). I'm just saying... I do *not* want to move ever again. I'd only been an occasional ecto-concert-goer in CT. The good news then is that there is far less to tempt me here! Next thing I want to do is jump into this perennial CD storage discussion. It is pertinent to me now, having all my CDs in liquor store boxes in the garage... ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V13 #651 ***************************
