I got Sarah's last night and have to say its consistent with her other work, but seemed to lack any real standout tracks--but have only given it one half-hearted listen so far. Has anyone heard of a group called Evie's Edge? I think they only put out one album/demo called *Soul Making* in 1996. I found it in our radio station's big box of "stuff [they're] giving away." It is really nice... But I'm having an enormous amount of trouble placing influences... Sara Ayers meets Pretenders meets My Bloody Valentine? I don't know. If anyone else has this album, could they possibly provide some good comparisons? All I know is that this group would probably really enjoy her music... I've looked online for their existence and nothing comes up. The lead singer is Debbi Ast, they're from Colorado. All that really comes up (besides someone saying they were one of the best live shows someone had ever seen) is the copyright to this music (in her name) when I google the band. Any insight? - -- NP: "Skin," Evie's Edge. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V13 #648 ***************************
