Apparently she used to do vocals for Jamiroquoi (sp?) and has a few albums out, but this is the first I've come across her. I haven't explored the site much yet, but it seems like there is plenty to listen to and watch. Academia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pim3Fx7_x3k http://siamusic.net In a very different vein, I'm also totally taken by the raucous indie rock duo Mr. Gnome. The video for the strange song "Night of the Crickets" is super bizarre. I saw them a few nights ago and they put on a fantastic, but very short, show. Good for fans of the crunchy side of ecto. http://www.mrgnome.com/ neal ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2008 15:28:29 -0700 (PDT) From: Craig Gidney Subject: New Cranes and Louisa John-Krol CDs. If you've ever seen the finale of TV series Six Feet Under, it was set to Sia's song. Then again, if you saw it you'd probably be aware of her because it was magnificent and no doubt you'd have looked her up by now... ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V13 #621 ***************************
