Oh, I missed that "well known" part. Then I am officially going with my response, in the form of a question. Who is Peter Frampton? BTW, the band I was there to see, Jethro Tull, was celebrating its 40th anniversary. Ian Anderson still looks basically like Ian Anderson, though his facial hair is trim and he wears a cap so we don't see how short his hair is these days. I had forgotten how much I enjoy them, even if I have heard "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath" a few too many (ok, way too many) times. Their version of Bach's "Bourree" is now so "right" to me that when their string quartet accompanists started off by playing the real one I thought it sounded stiff and needed to release its hips. For prog fans, here's a video of them commemorating Bach's 300th birthday with a performance of the Double Violin Concerto -- with typical Tull stage antics esp. around the 4 1/2 minute mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4bxGXqXQE0 Come to think of it, the guy does remind me of Peter Schickele somewhat. However, I must confess...I can be REALLY stupid at times. While trying to verify my thought that mystery-man was Peter (my brain still hadn't processed the "well known" part of Pauls original post) , I went to Peter Frampton.com to look for photos of him. The evidence that mystery-man was him was mounting, but not conclusive enough for an indictment. So I then went thru EVERY photo on the site I could find trying to find the same guitar and could not. Then - after a good 15 minutes or so of looking for the guitar on the site - - there it was, in all its glory in full color, on the FRONT page of www.peterframpton.com . sigh I'm getting old and my thoughts that I am the second-coming of Adrian Monk are forever dashed.
