Thanks, Karen! I knew someone would know that. Imagine trying to search "silenced life" on Google. And then putting in lyrics and finding nothing. Whew! Been trying to find a clip of this, to no avail. Apparently Jonatha makes it available on her site every Christmas, but then I guess she takes it down. Even the sites that say "it's not there, so I uploaded it here" don't have it. Based on the descriptions, though, and the fact that it's a duet with Kevin Gilbert, I'd say this is it. Paul, the dark version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." is most likely the gothic group Area. It was on a Projekt records Christmas sampler entitled "Excelsis - A Dark Noel" The vocals in Area are Kris Krasnowski but there are no male vocals or helicopters unless they did another version of it. Hope that helps............tom At Saturday 7/19/2008 04:40 PM, Paul Blair wrote: >The other one is a dark version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." Found a clip of this Area version; not it either. I'm pretty sure it's Jonatha Brooke and Kevin Gilbert. I found a non-working link to it and the filename was EMMANUEL.mp3, which is the same as the name of the file I have. Plus, I found this blog entry about it: > For me, the Christmas season hasn't really begun > until Jonatha Brooke makes her beautiful rendition > of "Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel" available to fans. > The song will never be the same. I'm still waiting. http://www.longpauses.com/blog/2002_12_01_longpauses_archive.html Another blog post refers to the point at which Kevin Gilbert "takes over the lead vocal," which is what happens for the third verse of the song.
