She did one solo indie release then disappeared. At some point, there were some problems getting CDs from her mail order address. Well, her mother recently contacted The Ectophiles' Guide saying that Margot has moved on to another career (though she does occasionally still compose music). However, her mother does have some copies of her CD left, that she would be happy to sell to anyone interested. Take a look at her entry on the Guide. I do still recommend the CD-- coincidentally, I pulled it out and listened to it just a couple of days before her mother contacted us, and was pleased with how much I still liked it. It's fierce piano-based rock. http://www.ectoguide.org/artists/obreslin.margot Email bunnington@aol.com for info about where to send money and how much and all that. - --Neile - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - - Neile Graham .... neile@sff.net/@zipcon.com ... www.sff.net/people/neile Les Semaines: A Weekly Journal ........ www.sff.net/people/neile/ semaines Editor, The Ectophiles' Guide to Good Music ........... www.ectoguide.org Workshop Administrator, Clarion West ................ www.clarionwest.org ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jan 2008 19:44:56 -0600 From: Timothy Jones-Yelvington Subject: Re: Margot O'Breslin I'd love to get a similar update from Sandra Lockwood. Locating her is one of my longterm goals. Like I have fantasies sometimes about traveling in a rental car across Vancouver Island. Like I'm tracking down James Earl Jones in "Field of Dreams" or something. ~tim On 1/20/08 5:15 PM, "Neile Graham" wrote: > Some of you may remember this artist from ten (10!) years ago. She was supposed to have a book of poetry out from a small Victoria press, but it never appeared--that was only a few years after her album came out. I heard from the press's editor that she had had a baby, and that was why the book has on the back burner.. > Me, I'm interested in finding out whatever happened to Pamela > Golden. Is she even still alive?! She was in a Seattle band not all that long ago. I think I posted about it, but can't remember the details now. - --Neile ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2008 00:56:36 -0500 From: meredith Subject: Update (Re: Moving Sale, Part 1) Hi, Thanks to all who've gotten in touch ... the following items are headed to the post office as soon as I can get there, fyi: > * Happy Rhodes "Many Worlds Are Born Tonight" promotional poster 3 TAKEN, 1 REMAINING > * Kate Bush "The Red Shoes" large promotional poster > * Kate Bush "Rubberband Girl" large promotional poster (still in its > original wrapping, unopened) > * An assortment of album flats: > - Tori Amos, "From The Choirgirl Hotel" > - Tori Amos, "Boys For Pele" > - Loreena McKennitt, "The Mask And Mirror" ... which leaves still available: > * "Rolling Stone" April 30, 1998 (Sarah McLachlan on the cover) Album flats remaining: > - Natalie Merchant, "Tigerlily" > - Dead Can Dance, "Into The Labyrinth" > - Jewel, "Pieces of You" > - Loreena McKennitt, "The Book Of Secrets" > - Belly, "Star" Thanks!! - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V13 #376 ***************************
