I'll pass this along to Chris and see what he thinks. It could be good, we'll see. We definitely want as many people, on all platforms, to be able to watch (I mean, assuming we can do it at all, there's still the Internet access problem). Sopcast is going to be better than nothing, but we don't want to leave anyone out if at all possible. Birdie, we couldn't use the same system as the place you mentioned. That's not peer-to-peer and it costs money everytime someone hooks into the stream. Chris thanked you for the tip, but it wouldn't work for us. Hi, I'm gonna put together a collection of songs released between 1978 and 1986 for a class reunion. Since I can't be there myself I want to make a mark. So if you were gonna pick songs from that period, what would they be? - -- Yngve ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 Aug 2007 13:03:45 -0700 (PDT) From: "Xenu's Sister" Subject: Hah, I love toys Chris found these little personal fans at CVS (a pharmacy chain) that allow you to program in messages, up to 4 per fan. Then when you turn on the fan it flashes that message and you can cycle through the different messages. I've been having loads of fun programming in various messages, such as HAPPY RHODES FIND ME ECTOPHILES and for the show, WE LOVE YOU! and ENCORE! Technology like this used cost a bunch of money, and now you can buy it in a pharmacy! It's wonderful, like buying pocket calculators or laser pointers at the dollar store. If you're going to the show and have a CVS nearby and see any, and you have the money, pick up one or more. We'll flash messages at Happy (in between songs, of course). We got them 3 for $10 (but one of them broke). Dang, now I can't remember. Anyway, they're called "Programmable Message Fan" and are distributed by East West Distributing Co. in Deerfield, IL (hmm, that makes me wonder if they're just distributed locally). (TheProgFiles.com which opens next month) They asked me but I can't write and they'd probably want it sounding more a bit more professional than anything I could come up with. It should be by someone who is familiar with Happy's work, all, most or at least part. Having attended previous concerts isn't necessary. I do think this place is going to be very Happy-friendly. The woman who runs it, Hande, adores Happy's music and has asked Happy to be a guest reviewer, plus she's going to review Find Me when the time comes.
