I've told a lot of people about the newfangled ability to add subtitles to Google Videos and I always include your reason (teaching ESL students). I'm writing a casual, user's view tutorial on how to do the subtitling and included what you said (not quoted, paraphased). Regarding the tutorial, there are no other tutorials, and the help file isn't as helpful as I needed it to be, so I hope it helps people. I'm using Happy as an example, naturally. I chose Save Our Souls and I'm taking screen captures for the tutorial. Does anyone know of a program that will capture a screen shot from a video? I'm using Paint Shot Pro and I just get a big black box where the video is supposed to be. That is, when I take a screen shot from within the DivXLand Media Subtitler program, it comes out black. I can get screen shots from Google Video just fine. > Okay, even though I was on this list for years, > I had never heard any of Happy's music. That's the entire reason I started doing the new SIG in the first place. Oh yeah, to play some other music too, sure, but to get people to hear Happy, first and foremost. > I then went to your page: > > http://www.wretchawry.com/happy/samples/index.html > > I downloaded the samples in their albums and started listening > to them. That's exactly why that page is there. > Again, thanks Vickie for introducing me to all this music. Thank you back again. It's nice hearing that my efforts have helped someone else discover Happy. It's what I live for. It's my bliss. Feedback like yours reminds me that it's a worthwhile thing to do, something I forget sometimes. I couldn't believe the quantity of white roses that decorated the stage. And two encores! Did anyone else go to it on the 16th?
