However, I think the book could only be improved by the addition of a little Jonathan Carroll. :) For those of you that have never read any Jonathan Carroll I highly recommend him--he also has one of the most interesting author blogs at his website www.jonathancarroll.com Jeff - -------------- Original message from meredith : -------------- > Hi, > > Jeffrey Hanson wrote: > > n.r. I should pop it on again and give it another front-to-back spin. There's two albums, Last Town Chorus and Wire Waltz, both seem to be independent releases, so not so sure how easy they'll be to come by. Their music is attracting some attention over here on alternative stations like the BBC's excellent and eclectic 6music. They did a live set on 6music yesterday, which prompted me to look for tour dates, and found that coincidentally they were playing my nearest city tonight. That session is during http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/6music_aod.shtml?6music/6m_gideon_mon although I can't give a precise time reference, it would be toward the end of the show. Currently on a UK tour (sparsely attended if the 20 or so people in Manchester tonight are anything to go by) with a few dates to go, and it would be a shame for people to miss it, as Megan is an etertaining front woman and very charming in person. Web site is at http://www.thelasttownchorus.com/ - lots of lap steel (so if you hate that, please - save your time and don't visit, this isn't for you!) and some haunting vocals. Quite down beat and slow, but I certainly found it interesting and would encourage people to get check it out, particularly the cover of Bowie's "Modern Love" which used to be available in full on the site, but no longer seems to be. And that's it, just thought I'd give them a mention on the offchance anyone might like it and maybe make it to one of the remaining shows...
