I use a similar setup to Neile's and it works fine, but it is a tedious job. I have been thinking of trying one of those consumer-grade CD recorders that you just start recording, play side 1, flip it over and play side 2. Leaves a blank space in the middle and needle sounds, but it seems it would be easier to get the AIFF file that way. It supposedly senses breaks and separates them as tracks. That would make the final MP3 conversion a lot easier. Any of you tries this, please let us know how well it works. About a half hour of >normalizing, dividing, then burning, and I didn't have to buy a turntable >that I couldn't use with my stereo. You wouldn't need a recorder with a turntable. I do the same thing with my stereo system and the Mac plugged into it. However, after Sound Studio is finished recording, you would need to insert markers at the beginning and at each track point so it can split up the tracks for import and adding titles. If you don't care about titling and sorting you can just leave them whole, but then when you make a CD from the file it won't be able to skip tracks either. Again, if this doesn't matter the job becomes much simpler. It's not yet linked to Happy's MySpace pages, but it will be. There are some things I'd like to tweak about it (more Comments to add), but at least for now it puts all of the videos in one place. (don't forget to use @ and .com) I grew up listening to the Beatles and found some of this to be the same thing and most of the changes made to beginnings and endings. I liked most of the changes but ymmv. Go to the site and listen to it for free before you decide for yourself. Imogen Heap will be in Lawrence KS on Tuesday. I looked at the net to see ticket prices. The first place I went said $79 and the next had $85. I finally went to the venue site: $19. EEK online scalpers! If they tried to sell them outside the venue they would be arrested but on the net... bye, me KrW I'm Peter Pan! I'm perpetually young!! OW!!
