(mine is the 1998 Shameless Records UK version). i've searched around a bit -- on her website, at online stores that sell the disc, and through google -- but can't find an answer. the song sounds vaguely familiar, and perhaps appeared elsewhere later, but i just can't place it -- the chorus goes something like "im saving it up, saving it up, nanananana.......one last time" (or maybe that last word is "dime") thanks for any help, stuart Stuart McKenney ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2006 13:49:59 -0500 From: Doug Subject: Willow Has anyone else here heard Willow? Her URL is http://willowsmusic.com but it hasn't been updated recently (sigh). Her music is dark, haunting, and at times melancholic and depressing. And that's why I like it. I could listen to her all day...she's a real treasure, one of the most underrated indie musicans out there. - --Doug ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2006 19:46:45 +0000 From: jjhanson@att.net Subject: Re: Willow I know Neile Graham is a fan--it was through her that i discovered her. We've actually hosted Willow for a house concert here in Albuquerque, as well as seeing her perform a couple of other times as she passed through the area and she was excellent. I highly recommend her as well--especially the album Sweet Dark Demon. Was just thinking about her, as I just got an advance copy of another Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter Karen Pernick, who reminds me a bit of Willow--not quite as dark, but a similar voice. I have her first tape, her first CD, and _Sweet Dark Demon_, all of which I love. Unfortunately, her more recent ep, _Lovely Love_, just didn't work for me, and I have trouble pin-pointing why. _Sweet Dark Demon_ is particularly wonderful. I haven't heard from her in a while, and don't think she has been playing out much around here. Hope she's busy writing and will return to us. - --Neile At 7:46 PM +0000 9/12/06, jjhanson@att.net wrote: >I know Neile Graham is a fan--it was through her that i discovered her. >We've actually hosted Willow for a house concert here in Albuquerque, as well >as seeing her perform a couple of other times as she passed through >the area and she >was excellent.
