Sadness ensued. Lucky for some of us, Albuquerque is east of Tucson! I'm looking forward to my first experience of Christine next week, and a repeat dose of Carolyn Mark (one of the funniest performers I've seen in ages). Plus, a good chunk of Po' Girl is touring with them, so it promises to be a fine night indeed. Anyone know Josephine Foster/Born Heller? I saw part of a house concert with them tonight and it was totally loosey goosey, but musically interesting (well, when there was actually music happening). On the break, someone came up to me and said "Do you know kaitlyn ni donavan? That's who she sounds like." I thought that was a totally surprising comparison to come from anyone, and probably just as odd that I could appreciate it. Lot's of interesting music this week. Sadeet Turkosz, Tania Libertad, Carolyn Mark/Christine Fellows, and maybe even the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. And then the next show I'm presenting - Karan Casey! I haven't seen her since her Solas days, so I'm really looking forward to that. Watched her Kennedy Center show and it was great. You should check out the Millennium Stage site. There are tons and tons of great shows archived there. http://www.kennedy-center.org/programs/millennium/ neal np: Hourglass - Kate Rusby ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Mar 2006 20:47:45 -0500 From: Kristeen Young Subject: NYC show Monday @ Sin-e KRISTEENYOUNG Monday, March 6 @ 10pm at Sin-e (150 Attorney St., btw.
