I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to where in the US I can purchase a copy of Anneli Drecker's Frolic? I'm a big Bel Canto fan but haven't managed to get around to purchasing this one yet. I can't seem to find any place online to purchase this. If there is anyone on this list in Europe who would purchase this for me and ship it, I would gladly send you the money via PayPal to cover whatever you need to charge. I recently stumbled across another Bel Canto side project - Vajas. It's a trio featuring a Saami yoik singer, a female violinist/vocalist, and Nils Johansen (from Bel Canto) on soundscapes. The samples kind of remind me of Wimme (another yoiker, who's CD's are available on NorthSide). While there is no tour info on the web page, it looks like they may be in the States in September. neal ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Feb 2006 15:36:47 EST From: SpiritWe@aol.com Subject: **RACHAEL SAGE PAGE: MARCH MISHUGAS & CD NEWS!** HEY Y'ALL! It was hard to be sad seeing them go, since their show is so hilarious that we were too busy laughing to be bummed. Plus, I think they'll be back. However, for the next month, they'll be in residence at the Steppenwolf's Garage Theatre, presented under the auspices of Second City. Mark and Shenoah (aka The Pajama Men) are really nice guys, and one of the funniest people I have ever seen. Their shows are scripted with improv mixed in. I've seen them at least a half dozen times and try to catch them whenever they are in town. The fact that Second City is picking them up (after seeing them capture top awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) is a pretty strong endorsement. Chicago folks should definitely check them out! http://secondcity.com/?id=touring/theatricals/pajama_men neal np: music from northeast brazil ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V12 #54 **************************
