I have tickets to see her at Jack Quinn's in Covington, Kentucky, on March 4 and am really looking forward to seeing her. I've only seen her perform once before, and that was about 7 or 8 years ago in Cincinnati, where Deanna Kirk opened for her. Do you have any idea when she plans to release a new CD? Jill R. I was devastated when she stopped releasing on vinyl. I'm afraid I'll have to comfort myself with what I have. Compressed audio formats are a sign of the decline of civilization. Alas I wasn't able to sneak out of the doings at the MPress showcase room to catch this, but I consoled myself in the knowledge that we'd seen her do this show back in December. It was pretty durned cool then, too. Last night I ran into Jane walking down the hallway near our room ... I burbled at her for a few seconds and I'm afraid I made kind of an ass of myself. Probably since I'd managed to not go all fangirl on Laura Love when she played our room the night before, that was karmic payback. Or something. I had a pipe dream that the Jane sighting meant that she might stop by our room once the music started for the evening, but she never materialized. *sigh* I'm way too braindead at the moment to post about Folk Alliance, but I will soon ... we had the most ecto-friendly showcase of the entire conference, by far. :) - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V12 #44 **************************
