Anyone know of any (non realaudio, non embedded) samples of her music online that they could provide me a direct link to? Would be much appreciated. Then, as you're listening, envision Immi standing all by her lonesome on stage surrounded by a bank of electronics, making all that happen in live performance while still managing to sing beautifully and not frak anything up. If you fail to be impressed by that, well, I guess she's not for you. But I would go check out her show anyway, because she might surprise you. :) (A friend of mine who is normally not into that sort of thing at all went to her CD release event in NYC last month, and was blown away.) - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Dec 2005 17:08:51 -0800 (PST) From: "Xenu's Sister" Subject: Re: speaking of imogen heap... Thanks meth, for the Imogen tour dates! We just bought tickets for that, and while I was at the Schubas web site I saw that KT Tunstall will be playing Schubas the 24th of January, so we bought tickets to that too. I haven't heard much by her (only what's on MySpace) but hey, I like what I've heard and she likes Kate (I've seen her quoted a couple of times) so of course I'll try to get a Happy CD to her. I already know that Imogen likes Happy. She told me. - --- Sander wrote: > meredith wrote: > > 17th Chicago, IL Schubas Tavern > > Ooh, I'd be able to attend that, maybe... I may or may not be healed enough by then to talk. If we meet, don't feel bad if I don't say anything. > and her website is a flash monstrosity I know. Sigh. I haven't found any samples not embedded. I'll keep looking. Damn I miss Napster. Vickie - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Music, all I hear is music, guaranteed to please... (Beyond the whole issue of not buying anything DRM-ed out of principle.) I'll probably try to attend just because I trust the taste of people on the list though. :) Vickie: cool (well, that you'll be there, not that you'll be mute). :) I won't know if I'll actually be able to go until the very last moment, but if I do, I'll keep my eye out for you. What could be better?? :) That is if you are going for the Christmas sound theme here... Kate Bush also has a great Christmas song called, "Home For Christmas" which is incredible as well as "December Will Be Magic Again" which has always been one of my favs.. (the video is so awsome too!!!) "December" by George Winston is also currently on my rotation at the moment, as it always is this time of the year. No singing, just beautiful reflective Christmaseeee amazing piano. We decorated mom's Christmas tree listening to it tonight in fact :) Suz (email filtered and set to exclusive contacts) To get the full value of a joy, you must have somebody to divide it with (Mark Twain). May your February and the year ahead be filled with long division ;) ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #346 ***************************
