[demime could not interpret encoding binary - treating as plain text] I was listening to World Cafe last night. I heard a song I really liked but I missed it's introduction. From the lyrics, I think it may be called "Hide and Seek". It consisted mostly of layered. heavily pitch-corrected acapella vocals. Anyone have any idea who it was? I can't find it on their website. Ooh, almost certainly Imogen Heap's single, from her fantastic new album, Speak For Yourself, one of the ecto must-haves of the year (imho). But beware: US release is copy-protected, so better to buy direct from Imogen or online (ie iTunes) sources. www.imogenheap.com JoAnn -------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Chris Stack" Reply-To: chris@stackdigital.com To: ecto@smoe.org Subject: Hide and Seek? No doubt a dozen people will answer this at once, but "Hide and Seek" is from Imogen Heap's fabulous solo album _Speak for Yourself_. It was the advance single, actually, and I played it obsessively for months waiting for the album to get released in the US. The album *is* now available here, on CD and in the iTMS, and I very enthusiastically recommend it to anybody who liked her previous project, Frou Frou. If "Hide and Seek" is all you've heard, though, you may want to sample before you buy. "Hide and Seek" is representative in mood and spirit, I think, but the rest of the songs do have other instrumentation... glenn ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2005 13:22:51 -0800 (PST) From: Craig Gidney Subject: Re: Hide and Seek?
