I would have LOVED to hear that. (I was obsessed with that song when I was 15...) But her show here was great, I had never seen her before and I loved it. Unfortunately it was on a Tuesday so there were only about 35 or 40 people. (If anyone ever comes up with a recording of Jorane doing "There Must Be An Angel" feel free to send me a copy.....) I saw parts of two great Portland shows tonight: Stephanie Schniederman at Jimmy Mak's and Ashleigh Flynn at the White Eagle. Both great. I hadn't heard about it before, and thought it was a bit neat, although I don't think there is any relation to Happy. http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/ - -- Kjetil T. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Dec 2005 17:29:24 -0800 From: Steve VanDevender Subject: Re: "Jane Siberry opens best artist's digital music store EVAR" > [Steve VanDevender]: > > > > I don't think I've seen mention of this on Ecto yet: > > > > http://www.boingboing.net/2005/11/28/jane_siberry_opens_b.html > > thanks for the link! did you notice that BoingBoing is "powered by > Ecto"? turns out it's a program for blogging. The Ecto blogging software doesn't seem to have anything to do with Happy or us, although I suppose we might consider it for our endorsement as the Ectophile's blogging suite of choice :-). I was rather amazed that the other person who also posted about Jane's new music store at sheeba.ca did it within minutes of my post, such that our posts probably crossed in the mail. Are there any Ectophiles in the San Diego area? I'm going to be down there next week for a conference. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #332 ***************************
