I am not being sarcastic - this is seriously the core of my problem. It's not that I think the music is terrible, far from it! - it's just that apart from Bertie and Pi, which I definitely don't like, I find myself unable to form any kind of emotional response to most of it. And that is bad, bad news. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Nov 2005 22:16:12 +0000 From: Summoner Marc Subject: Re: listening to Aerial Well that's totally a fair view I guess. Not one I share however. I really enjoyed "Bertie" - the medieval sound of it all, it's such a maternally emotional song. As for "Pi", at first I thought it was a little droning, but the more I listen to it, the more I grow to like it. I think it's like the first time we heard "King of the Mountain". It takes a few times to get to it. You have to admit, at least, that Mrs. Bartolozzi is insanely good. I recommend listening to the second disc songs, it is very visual music there (even if Rolf Harris does sing, bah!) And you should buy Aerial since you did download it, but hey, whatever ^^ On 11/2/05, andrew fries wrote: > > I listened to the first CD so far. There is a black hole at the center of the Milky Way you know, 2 million times the mass of our Sun. Some people, especially those living nearby, would probably argue it could be a bigger problem. But if you just skim through the usual fluff that occupies front pages of the news I think you'll have to agree *my* problem is pretty serious in comparison. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #300 ***************************
