It will include all artists who appeared in London and Philadelphia (although it doesn't say that it will be the complete performances from all of those artists), plus highlights from the other Live 8 shows. Additionally, there will be single-disc DVD releases for the Paris, Berlin, Rome, and Toronto Live 8 shows. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2005 14:38:15 -0700 (PDT) From: angiegamgee@jherusalem.com Subject: Re: Live 8 DVDs to be released It's Barrie, not Toronto. *grins* I'm slightly confused, though - does this mean the Barrie one is out on a seperate DVD release? The NME story said Toronto, so I wasn't going to quibble with them. :) I meant to include a link to the original story in my first post, so here it is: http://www.nme.com/news/113604.htm The article isn't clear on exactly what is being released in each one, but it sounds like the four-disc set will have most of Philly and London, plus highlights from the other shows. The individual one- disc sets will have only artists from the Live 8 show in question. So if you buy the four-disc set, you'll only see a few songs from Paris; you'll have to buy the Paris disc to get everything (or the majority? it's not clear on how complete these will be) from that show. /nm ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #260 ***************************
