It is true, 'Many worlds' was released in Holland, but the way things work on this continent, most cd's are just manufactured in one country and then distributed to other European countries as well. I'm not at home right now so I can't check but I'm almost certain that my copy - which is of course bought in Holland! - is a German one. In all countries where 'Many worlds' was released we will have this extra track of course too. I think if I remember correctly the front sleeve didn't have the familiar hole in it. Minor detail: the cd was released on the 'Gold circle' label, which I guess is somehow Samson-related, but a different label anyway. Hope this helps! Dates are on her site, the tour covers many cities. Also for NYC area ectophiles, the Postcrypt opens for the season on September 30 with Kyler England, Sylvie Lewis & KJ Denhert. We just discovered this venue last year and it has to be the best-kept secret night out in New York, rivalling the intimacy of many house concerts. Non-amplified acoustic shows in the basement (crypt) of St. Paul's chapel at Columbia University every weekend. Open to the public with free admission, cheap and good drinks and snacks, and an outstanding atmosphere with fabulous acoustics. Capacity about 30 people. Wow, it's worth finding an excuse just to go experience this place. www.postcrypt.org And while I'm at it, here are a few other interesting things coming up in NYC, some of which are parts of larger tours: 9/15 (TONIGHT) - Laura Viers and Amadou & Mariam at Hiro Ballroom (We'll be there) 9/15 (TONIGHT) - Rasputina @ Maxwells 10/13 - Mono @ Mercury Lounge (also 10/14 at NorthSix) 10/15 - Laura Tsaggaris @ The Bitter End (We discovered her at Postcrypt, her PROOF album was one of my top 10 of 2004) 10/19 - Megan Slankard @ The Cutting Room 10/20 - Vienna Teng @ The Living Room 10/24 - Tina Dico (of Zero 7) at Maxwells 10/21 - Trina Hamlin, Adriene Gonzalez & The Union Revue @ Postcrypt Dan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2005 14:59:36 -0400 From: wojizzle forizzle Subject: Re: Imogen Heap tour & NYC happenings one time at band camp, DanStark (2005.carnivore99@verizon.net) said: >As Paul Kim posted a couple weeks ago, the Hotel Cafe tour with >Imogen Heap begins this Monday at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Wow. I wish I were going to be in town for this!! KJ Denhert alone would make it well worth the trip. Make sure you get there in time to see her, she's amazing. The Postcrypt has been around for eons ... they kind of need to be a "well kept secret" due to their size. :) One of these days I'll actually make it to a show there. - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2005 18:38:19 -0700 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: Holland release of Many Worlds? So...how do you tell what country it's from? For European discs, it's all the same. The German release is identical to the Dutch release, since they were pressed in the same plant and most likely have the same catalogue number. It's just a question of which box they were put into when it came to shipping time. It would be roughly akin to caring if you got the Michigan release of a CD or the Indiana release. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2005 22:54:42 -0400 From: Jeffrey Burka Subject: Re: Holland release of Many Worlds? Which is basically what I thought...but since Vickie said that Happy was specificially looking for the Dutch release, it suggested that it was somehow identifiable as such.
