For those poor lost souls who may not have made KaTe their Goddess-In-Law yet... Dan's original: Kate Bush - Cloudbursting Should be: Kate Bush - Cloudbusting Bursting has been the bane of that song's title ever since the record first came out. It's an easy typo to make, but fans tend to zero in on it. Since Dan's a fan, I had a little extra boggle there and wanted to tease him. - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Music, all I hear is music, guaranteed to please... - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 03 Aug 2005 07:19:30 -0400 From: Rod Kratochwill Subject: ecto Podcast (was Re: Suspended In Gaffa online) I listen to Adam Curry's podcast regularly and he played someone the other day that struck me as very Ecto'ish which made me think about the idea of an Ecto podcast. And lo and behold, it's here! I just checked Adam's recent show notes and I can't figure out which "podsafe" selection it was. It might be Adrina Thorpe he played on this show. http://radio.weblogs.com/0001014/categories/dailySourceCode/2005/07/23.html I wonder if the PodSafe distribution is in any way a means for Happy to get some PodCast-play? Finally I get to hear some of the people talked about but not available to hear without springing for a CD. Vickie, podcasting is a real service and you need not worry at all about the anti-copying crowd. You are doing a radio show here, and that is good for business; that is, of the artists and maybe, by extension, of whoever publishes their CDs. Please keep it up! I don't even need an iPod to play them (although I finally do have one, for the car) and I can use the web info as accompaniment. Only change I would ask you to make: treat it like a real radio show. Backannounce the the tracks and talk about the artists like we do here. When we pass it around, the information will go along with it. You should be able to record the tracks with simple shareware recording programs and a mike. If you need one, one of us should have an extra we can send your way. Once the voice segments are recorded, even iTunes can convert them to MP3 and assemble it all together. But if you can't get voice, please keep up the show anyway.
