I feel better now. :) I wasn't sure it was a good idea, since file sharing has become such a hot button issue. I was reading an article, I can't remember where, about music blogs and podcasts, and I got this inner huffy going, saying "I can do that!" and put it all together in one night, intending to send the URL to the writer of the article. Then I got cold feet. I've been sitting on it for a couple of weeks. I've long since lost the URL of the page I was going to send it to and I don't even remember how I got there. So it was sitting there, all lonely and unheard. I figured if anyone would like it, several ectophiles would, so you got it (thanks to a bit of a prod from Lorenzo). I've been listening to it a lot myself. I love all the songs. I could have put them together a bit better, but I love listening to the songs. I used to listen to my own radio shows all the time. I'd record the live shows onto VHS tape, then when I got home I'd dump them onto cassette while writing up the playlist to post. Then I'd listen to them at work (fast-forwarding through my talking). They were always perfect compilation tapes. Now that it's out there, I'm thinking about the next one. :) V - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Music, all I hear is music, guaranteed to please... - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ - -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Aug 2005 12:30:18 -0700 (PDT) From: "Xenu's Sister" Subject: Re: play it loud - advice for a mix cd (what's wrong with this picture?) - --- DanStark <2005.carnivore99@verizon.net> wrote: > Here are a few I found flipping through my Karma... > Kate Bush - Cloudbursting *shakes head* tsk tsk tsk :) I'd suggest Diamanda Galas, especially You Must Be Certain Of The Devil. I was so pleased to see that. Hope it's the first of many... As for tracking it down, that shouldn't be too hard as it's available on UK, German, French and Japanese (!) Amazons. Better still, you can buy signed copies direct from the lovely label who signed Veda. Here's the link: http://ape.uk.net/news/news_stories.php?newsid=153 I'm completely in love with this record!
