Hi, It's that time again ... the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival starts on Thursday in beautiful Hillsdale, NY. The grounds open tomorrow, so for the first time woj and I (and JeffW) are going to be among the early birds and get a head start setting up Camp Ecto. Anyone else going this year? If you're wandering around the top of the ridge and see a camp with a banner hung from the dining fly that says "ectofest" on it, that's us. Stop by and say hello!! (Also, if you see me you'll know it -- I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one there wearing day-glo neon orange Converse Chuck Taylors. :) Falcon Ridge is trying out a sort of "instant live" recording thing this year, whereby the mainstage sets of those artists who consent will be recorded, and CDs made available for sale in the merch tent an hour after the set is over. woj, Jeff and I are on the recording crew ... it should be interesting to see how things pan out. (I'm particularly looking forward to the backstage pass. *g*) - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #197 ***************************
