She's got one-minute snippets of most of the tracks online at her new (annoyingly Flash-heavy, argh) site, . I already knew the songs on this CD were going to be top-notch, but hearing the production on even these snippets has me counting the days until the end of the month when I can listen to the whole thing over and over. (The other great albums of 2005, in case you're wondering, include Veda Hille's _Return Of The Kildeer_ and Christine Fellows' _Paper Anniversary_, which was just released yesterday. Go. Buy. Now.) Off to our evening o'madness in NYC... - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 09 Jun 2005 17:17:49 -0400 From: DanStark <2005.carnivore99@verizon.net> Subject: Re: NYC ectophiles note: tonight's schedule Wow, thanks for the heads-up, I'm so glad you posted! I've been out of town and then busy since getting back, so I had no idea. Heidi, The first Google hit on '"johnny cash" hurt' was a dead link, but the second turned up this, which works fine for me: http://www.losthighwayrecords.com/e/cash11403.html Wow...that's really something. I knew the song (both the NIN and JC versions) but didn't know anything about the video until you brought it to my attention just now. There appear to be many web sites with the video, two of the most popular are (http://www.losthighwayrecords.com/e/cash11403.html) and (http://www.nme.com/features/104451.htm) or (http://www.nme.com/features/106219.htm) but there are many other sites. - -- John ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #160 ***************************
