All Things Considered ran a LONG segment on the Duhks a couple of weeks ago. You can listen to it here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4506655 I had no idea until I saw their name on NPR's web site that they it was spelled "Duhks." While listening, I figured it was "Ducks," like the bird. :) - --Sue T. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 04 Mar 2005 20:37:42 +0000 From: jjhanson@att.net Subject: Re: FA re-cap The Duhk's formed out of some of the original members of Scruj MacDuhk--another band--which included Ruth Moody of the Wailin' Jenny's--thus the "Duhk"s spelling. Definitely a very fun band to see live (and not a bad band to listen to on album--their latest is pretty good!) Actually, my guess would be that they used alternate spellings of Scrooge and McDuck to avoid legal issues. I'd also guess that it wouldn't work! neal np: Strictly Mundial's Mundo Party At 8:37 PM +0000 3/4/05, jjhanson@att.net wrote: >The Duhk's formed out of some of the original members of Scruj >MacDuhk--another >band--which included Ruth Moody of the Wailin' Jenny's--thus the >"Duhk"s spelling. >Definitely a very fun band to see live (and not a bad band to listen >to on album--their >latest is pretty good!) > >Jeff > > >-------------- Original message from Sue Trowbridge >: -------------- > > >> On Thu, 03 Mar 2005 23:41:25 -0500, meredith wrote: >> > >[Neal:] The Duhks: A surefire hit, as I have always loved every >>set I've seen >> by >> > >the Dunks.
