I've been scanning the lists and might have missed it, BUT... I nominate "February" by Dar Williams. I first heard this song when my first marriage of 13 years was dying a slow death, and it was the story of my life at the time. It's more subtly bitter, and overall just sad. As some of you may know I run this lil' website and often artists request to be a part of it with an artist spotlight. This is something that will be up for many years so I always request that it actually be a "Bio", which is short for biography, which if I'm not mistaken, is the story of ones life so far. But I'd say a good 90% have no idea what I mean or why I am being such a stickler! It's a little frustrating. At least I know I'm not the only out there who is annoyed by this. I wish I could send them Meredith's post whenever they get lazy with me. :) Maybe "lazy" is the wrong word, but I also won't post a "bio" that is on another site because I want my visitors to find new information, not the same old junk that's on every other site. I mean, if I'm going to spend a couple of hours putting something together to promote them, they could at least spend 5 minutes writing a paragraph about themselves, no? But that's a whole other Oprah... On an unrelated note, I have recently booked Rachael Sage once again at my home in Minneapolis if any of you Ecto-philes are interested. Meredith will you be joining her again this time?! Hi, A lovely friend gave me an iTunes gift certificate for my birthday last fall, and I've been picking up random things in dribs and drabs as I think of them (mostly cheezy things from my youth that are intended to make me smile when they come up in the shuffle :). But I've still got a few dollars left, and I'm wondering if there are any cool things lurking out there on iTunes that I've been missing? I just picked up Vienna Teng's World Cafe stuff, and the Dresden Dolls' kickass version of "War Pigs" (from what I'm guessing is a New Zealand release?). Anything else cool and rare out there that I don't know about? I am excited to hear about the resurrection of MP3.com ... it looks pretty cool, though I haven't had time to really take a good look at it yet. It is 4:19 of a woman singing without my love you are nothing. Methinks she doth protest too much. bye, KrW I'm Peter Pan! I'm perpetually young!! OW!! If I get thrown off a block or two in a big city , I still know whre the sun was when I started. A female friend said that she was "directionally dyslexic" and if she made one wrong turn, she was lost. They [you know who] say that men remember directions with a little map in our heads with N and S accounted for amd that women's brains remember trailmarking specific sites along the direct route. Mostly, though, it's statistics, and you can do anything with statistics. bye, KrW I'm Peter Pan! I'm perpetually young!! OW!!
