I highly recommend it! And while you are joining, and joining the Ecto group on there, be sure to also join the Singer/Songwriters group I started. :-) http://www.audioscrobbler.com/group/Singer-Songwriters Hope to see you there! - -----Original Message----- From: owner-ecto@smoe.org [mailto:owner-ecto@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Neile Graham Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2005 11:32 PM To: ecto@smoe.org Subject: Fwd: Ectophiles' Guide - General Comment Hi, gang-- Some of you might be interested in checking this out. - --Neile >Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2005 09:14:43 -0800 >Reply-to: "Luc-Rock Paquin" >From: "Luc-Rock Paquin" >To: ectoguide@smoe.org >Subject: Ectophiles' Guide - General Comment > >Name: Luc-Rock Paquin >Email: lrp@moviecritic.ca >Topic: General Comment > >Hello, > >I've been a fan of the Ectophiles' Guide for a least of couple of >years. (Right when I'm going to be in the US, doh!) Only three dates (Brisbane, Newcastle & Melbourne) so far that I can see, but I'm sure that more will follow. The very interesting news is that she's been booked for the East Coast Roots & Blues Festival in Byron Bay at Easter. I wouldn't have put her down as either roots or blues but I guess they have loose guidelines. I've never been, but apparently it's a *huge* festival. REM, Dave Matthews, The Waifs and Bo Diddley are only a few of the names on the lineup this year. http://www.bluesfest.com.au for more information... I don't blame people at all for hedging their bets, it's a good idea, but brni and I will get together before we pick up CDs and figure out who gets what. No one should worry about anything. On Thursday nights, from 11 until midnight Pacific, KOXY 104.7 FM will be mine! Unless I'm presuming far too much, I intend to call this show Radio Ecto! that's right, ecto content every Thursday night. It'll be a challenge to try to figure out what Ectomusic is most radio-friendly...even late-night college radio friendly. I'm just trying to figure out what'll grab my fellows. I surely intend to survey the Goddesses, and other personal favorites (starting with Regina Spektor, who I'm off to see tonight! I love living in a big city sometimes!) Any suggestions of songs that might work along those lines are welcome. Oh, and here's the web broadcast of KOXY. http://clubs.oxy.edu/koxy/koxy.pls - --- my heart is busted from enthusiastic overuse ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V11 #27 **************************
