"my medea" maybe? i dunno... there may have been a second song i forgot about too, but i can't recall!) gravity the tower leaving atlanta [brian webb] the atheist christmas carol hope on fire shasta homecoming momentum decade and one harbor encore: lullabye for a stormy night - --------------------------------------------------------------------------- higher ground [kyler england] between (nifty new strings-heavy arrangement!) hope on fire gravity cannonball [damien rice] boy at the piano passage feather moon unwritten letter #1 harbor (with nifty new string intro!) first encore: midsummer night's dream [noe venable] (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) second encore: say uncle, soon love soon the opener for the second show was a woman from texas named beth wood. she was actually pretty good despite the solo acoustic deal. her lyrics didn't really strike me but she plays guitar better than the typical woman-with-an-acoustic and, as vienna pointed out when thanking her for opening, you gotta like it when someone writes guitar songs that are in 7! woj ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Nov 2004 09:25:01 -0800 From: Paul Schreiber Subject: song id help i downloaded this from some web site, but it's flash file and not an mp3, and i have no idea what song it is. i googled what lyrics i could make out and found this: http://kayeight.blogspot.com/2004/09/i-i-saw-you-i-couldnt-think-of- what-to.html > I stop to catch my breath:And I stop to catch your eye:No need to > second guess:That you've been on my mind:I dream days away:But thats > okay:It's like I want to hear a silent sound:Then hold it in my > hand:But a rose won't blossom:From the ground of desert sand:But I > like to pretend that:One day I'll turn around:I'll see your hand reach > out:I'm only fooling myself:When you smile:It means you'd stay > awhile:Just maybe, you'll take me now:Now its sketched in stone:That I > can't survive alone:You have the missing piece:That I need so > desperately:As I slip away to a day that'll never come:It's like a > splash of water to my face:And I suddenly realize:That you could never > found a place:In your eyes:I don't know why I keep thinking:One day > I'll turn around:I'll see you hand reach out:I'm only fooling > myself:When you'll smile:It means you'll stay awhile:Just maybe, > you'll take me now:Its love in disguise:I lost track of time:I'm lost > in your eyes:And I don't know why I think that:One day I'll turn > around:I'll see your hand reach out:I'm only fooling myself the blog author says josh kelley, but this is a woman singing. any ideas? i've temporarily placed a copy of the file here: http://paulschreiber.com/download/kv.swf paul shad 96c / uw cs 2001 / mac activist / fumbler / eda / headliner / navy-souper fan of / sophie b. / steve poltz / habs / bills / 49ers / "Music is why I wake up in the morning." -- Ryan Robinson ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Nov 2004 21:59:05 -0500 From: DanStark <2004.carnivore99@verizon.net> Subject: Re: song id help Paul Schreiber wrote: >i downloaded this from some web site, but it's flash file and not an >mp3, and i have no idea what song it is.
